A musical system and method for music score simplification is provided. The musical system (110) may include one or more storage media (320), at least one processor (310), one or more sensors (116) corresponding to keys (210) of a musical instrument (110), and a display (440). The storage media (320) may be configured to store a set of instructions for modifying a music score for a user based on a performance level of the user. The at least one processor (310) may be configured to communicate with the one or more storage media (320). When executing the set of instructions, the processor (310) is directed to determine a user performance level of a user and provide a modified music score for the user based on the user performance level. The sensors (116) may be configured to sense a motion of at least one of the keys (210) and generate a key signal accordingly. The display (440) may be configured to display the modified music score.
