Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control signaling that schedules resources for receiving downlink reference signaling during a time period and for transmitting uplink reference signaling during the time period. The downlink reference signaling may be channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS), while the uplink reference signaling may be sounding reference signals (SRS). The UE may measure, for each of a set of downlink beams associated with the downlink reference signaling, an interference for each of a set of uplink reference signal resources associated with the uplink reference signaling. The UE may transmit a report that indicates an uplink resource restriction associated with one or more of the set of downlink beams based on the measured interference.
