The invention relates to an inside corner profile (10) for providing a low-maintenance expansion joint in a space that is at least partially designed with flat structural elements, the cross section of the inside corner profile (10) having a long leg (20) on the back and a short leg (30) on the front, as well as a web (40) that connects the short leg (30) and the long leg (20), the web (40) being extended beyond the attachment point (31) of the short leg (30) and the web extension (41) having a shadow gap (43) on the back side of its end portion (42). The invention also relates to the use of the inside corner profile (10) in drywall construction using gypsum plaster board panels.
