Abstract:
An electromechanical switching protection system (100) includes an electromechanical switchgear (102) having contacts configured to selectively open and close in response to a control signal, and a junction field effect transistor (JFET) device (104) electrically connected in series with the electromechanical switchgear between an input terminal (IN) and an output terminal (OUT) of the electromechanical switching protection system, a gate (G) of the JFET device being electrically connected to the output terminal.
