The present invention relates to the field of delivery systems. More specifically, the present invention relates to microcapsules comprising a hydrophobic material-based core, preferably a perfume or a flavour, a shell and a mineral layer onto the shell. A process for the preparation of said microcapsules is also an object of the invention. Perfuming compositions and consumer products comprising said microcapsules, in particular perfumed consumer products in the form of fine fragrance, home care or personal care products, are also part of the invention.
