In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network, a session establishment request that includes at least one indication associated with a multicast broadcast service (MBS) session. Accordingly, the UE may receive, from the network, a response to the session establishment request. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may transmit, to the network, a session release request that includes at least one indication associated with the MBS session. Accordingly, the UE may receive, from the network, a response to the session release request. Numerous other aspects are described.
