A wall frame assembly (10) comprises a first elongate member (12) with a track comprising a base (20) and two lateral walls (22), and a second member (14) with a joining end (30) locatable in the track such that an end surface (33) of the joining end (30) sits against an inner track surface (21) of the base to form a joint. The first elongate member (12) comprises first alignment structures (24) provided on a lateral wall (22) and the second member (14) comprises second alignment structures (34) on a lateral surface (32) thereof for registration with the first alignment structure (24), wherein the first and second alignment structures are alignable with tighter compression of the joining end (33) against the inner track surface (21) in one of the engagement configurations. When assembled, the arrangement provides for a tighter compression when the first and second alignment structures are aligned.
