    摘要： The invention relates to a device (10) for precipitating suspended materials from a liquid, in particular for precipitating gypsum from water, having a vessel (12) comprising a liquid inlet (22) and a liquid outlet (26), and subdivided into chambers (40, 42, 44, 46) that are in sequence in the flow direction by means of partitions (32, 34, 36, 38), wherein the liquid inlet (22) opens into a first of the chambers (40) and wherein the liquid outlet (26) opens into a last of the chambers (46). According to the invention, at least one part of the chambers (40, 42, 44, 46) and preferably every chamber (40, 42, 44, 46) communicates with the chamber (42, 44, 46) downstream thereof in the flow direction by means of an opening (54) in the partition (34, 36, 38) disposed between the chambers (40, 42, 44, 46), wherein the opening (54) extends at a distance from and parallel to an upper edge (48) of the partition (34, 36, 38), and each of the openings (54) is disposed at a greater distance from the vessel floor (15) than the opening (54) in the partition (36, 38) downstream thereof in the flow direction.
