摘要： A hand-held electronic celestial object locating device (10) assists in identifying a celestial object (14) or directing a user (12) to a desired celestial object (14). The device (10) is useful for locating or identifying any celestial object (14) including stars, constellations, planets, comets, asteroids, artificial satellites, and deep sky objects to name a few. The device (10) utilizes processor (52) and an electronic database (62) to perform the required calculations. The device's database (62) may be updated through access to the Internet (182) through which the updates may be purchased.
