摘要： The invention relates to substances with antibiotic activity and methods to treat infections. The invention provides a method to prevent or hamper division or proliferation of a prokaryotic cell or organism comprising inhibiting polymerisation and/or depolymerisation of cell-division protein FtsZ or analogue thereof by contacting said protein with a guanoside triphosphate (GTP) analogue capable of binding to said protein.
