The inner cylindrical containment (500) comprises an upper circular plate (502) with one or more upper cam recesses (505) and a lower circular plate (503) with one or more lower cam recesses (506) as well as a vertical wall (501) extending from the upper circular plate (502) to the lower one (503) but is mounted in a rotatable manner relative thereto. The upper and lower cam recesses match each other and are mutually integral and allow accommodating a leg (202) of the I-pins (200), and the vertical wall (501) comprises one or more voids (520) along the entire vertical extension over an arc of circumference. Such voids (520) are positioned so that, upon the relative rotation of the vertical wall (501) with respect to the upper and lower circular plates (502, 503), said upper and lower outlets (505u, 506u) are positioned so as to lead into said voids (520) releasing the leg (202) in a radial slot (456) of said cylindrical containment (450) for hairpins (100, 200).

The first stripping station (24) houses a first pair of broaches (40), opposite to one another and arranged at opposite sides relative to the conductor (8), said broaches (40) being axially movable relative to a cross working direction (Y-Y) perpendicular to the prevailing extension (X-X). The method (20) comprises the steps of : - inserting (23) at least one preshaped insulating sheet (10) inside at least one of said slots (8); - hot shaping (26) said preshaped insulating sheet (10) inside the slot, along the entire axial extension of the slot (8) or along a substantial portion thereof, in order to confer form regularity and stability to said preshaped insulating sheet (10). Through the described process, it is possible to make stators with bar winding having a stator core with relatively high height and slot fill factor.
