摘要: A medical robotic arm for use with a moveable surgical table. The medical robotic arm comprises an overhead mount for mounting the medical robotic arm above the moveable surgical table; a mechanical interface connectable to one or more devices for use in minimally invasive surgery; and a positioning assembly. The positioning assembly comprises a first end comprising a first motorised joint connected to the mechanical interface, a second end comprising a second motorised joint connected to the overhead mount, and a middle portion connecting the first end to the second end. The medical robotic arm further comprises a first position detector configured to monitor the position of the first motorised joint; a second position detector configured to monitor the position of the second motorised joint; and a controller. The controller is configured to maintain the position of the mechanical interface relative to the moveable surgical table based on one or more control signals.
