    摘要： Polyurethanes prepared from non-linear optical active diols (NLO-diols) of the formula according to claim 1, of which the essence is that they have a delocalized π electron system to which both an electron donor group and an electron acceptor group are coupled directly (DπA system). The polyurethanes have high hyperpolarizability densities and other favourable properties and can be easily prepared. They are to be used in optical waveguides.
