摘要： A system for operating a cordless saw (10) is provided with regenerative braking means that increases the number of repeated cuttings the saw (10) is able to perform (x) per full (360) discharge cycle of the battery pack (42), as compared to the number of repeated cuttings achievable by the same saw (10) not employing a regenerative braking means (y) per full (360) discharge cycle of the battery pack (42), by at least approximately 10% ( so x/y = 1.1) when using 89 mm x 89 mm mm pressure-treated wood material, by at least approximately 15% (so x/y= 1.15) when cutting (38) 38 mm x 89 mm mm Spruce Pine Fir (SPF) wood material, or by at least approximately 25% (so x/y = 1.25) when cutting (38) a Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) workpiece having a thickness of approximately 19 mm ± 1 mm and a width of approximately 76 mm ± 2 mm.
