The flame retardant foam polystyrene bead according to the present invention comprises: (A) a mixed resin including (a1) about 90 wt% to about 99 wt% of a styrene resin and (a2) about 1 wt% to about 10 wt% of a char-generating thermoplastic resin; (B) inorganic foam particles dispersed in the mixed resin; and (C) a foaming agent impregnated into the mixed resin containing the dispersed inorganic foam particles. The foam produced using the flame retardant foam polystyrene bead has good flame retardancy, insulation, and mechanical strength properties.

An acrylic resin that can have excellent transparency, flowability and scratch-resistance property is prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising 10 to 25 % by weight of (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer, 50 to 80 % by weight of aromatic vinyl compound, and 10 to 25 % by weight of vinyl cyanide compound.
