摘要: The invention relates to a filter material, especially in the form of a deep-bed filter layer, consisting of a supporting layer forming passages, a first type of plastic fibres and a pre-determinable amount of natural fibres. The first type of fibres are embodied as bicomponent fibres comprising a core which has a high melting point and is surrounded by an envelope having a lower melting point. An essentially non-shrinkable, stable filter matrix with reliable connection points can be formed without additional wetting agents or binding agents, due to the fact that the filter material contains a wet-strength agent selected from the group consisting of epichlorohydrine resins and/or melamine formaldehyde resins. Fine deposition processes can thus be carried out with said filter material for fluids, in order to separate tiny particles such as micro-organisms or proteins of liquid solutions.
