摘要: An apparatus and method for programming a controller to vary the concentration set-point of an additive as a function of time. The present invention insures that the additive is injected to the machine at proper times to allow for optimum efficiency and lowest cost. To vary the set-point according to the input parameters, the invention combines the features of a data entry device, a microprocessor, a clock, a controller, and sensors into one unit. The user may enter a time setting and set-point into the controller, along with control parameters which allow the machine to control the additive injection based on different user-defined scenarios. The microprocessor then reads the settings and outputs an appropriate set-point value from the microprocessor to the controller. Thus, the user can manually or automatically change the response function if and when conditions change.

摘要: A method and system provide an automated cleaning apparatus (20) for cleaning various types of articles, wherein each type of article is detected and washed according to its own pre-determined combination. The cleaning apparatus has a storage device (32) storing an array of pre-determined chemical combinations and cleaning parameters, including specifying cleaning chemicals to be used on the various identified article types. A transponder (23) is provided with identifying information of the article type. A transceiver detects the type of article from the transponder and communicates that identifying information to a processor. Based on the detected identifier, the processor selects from the storage device the proper chemical combination and cleaning parameters for washing the identified type of article. A control device coupled to the processor delivers the chemicals specified by the selected chemical combination. Finally, a cleaning subsystem coupled to the processor cleans the articles using the delivered chemicals and other specified parameters.

摘要: Disclosed is a dispenser (10) for a solid chemical (13) and a method of dispensing the chemical (13). Water enters via an inlet line (22) and is sprayed from a spray nozzle (21), so that the solid chemical (13) is dispensed in the form of an aqueous chemical solution via outlet line (17). The solution's concentration is adjustable by varying the distance between the spray nozzle (21) and the exposed dissolving surface of the chemical (13). The spray nozzle's position is adjusted by means of a screw jack (68), a push-pull cable (93), a solenoid (100), or a lever (117).

Ainsi, l'invention assure le fonctionnement d'une machine à laver de blanchisserie à un rendement et un coût optimums. Pour varier le point de réglage selon l'heure du jour, l'invention associe les fonctions d'un microprocesseur, d'une horloge et d'une unité de contrôle en une seule unité. L'utilisateur entre la mise à l'heure (16) et le point de réglage dans l'unité de commande (12). Le microprocesseur (10) compare ensuite le signal d'horloge en temps réel avec les mises à l'heure de l'utilisateur et les sorties d'une valeur de point de réglage appropriée, du microprocesseur (10) vers l'unité de commande (12). Pour réaliser des niveaux de concentration de détergent rapidement sans faire de dépassement, l'unité de commande (12) détecte la concentration de détergent et répartit la quantité de détergent appropriée dans la machine à laver selon une heure prédéterminée d'alimentation du détergent basée sur le temps de réponse précédent et le point de réglage programmé (14). L'unité de commande (12) peut ainsi modifier la fonction réponse s'il y a changement de conditions et à quel moment.

摘要: An apparatus and method for programming a detergent controller (12) to vary the detergent concentration set-point (14) according to the time of day and to achieve detergent concentration levels quickly without incurring overshoot. Thus, the present invention insures that the warewashing machine is operated at optimum efficiency and cost. To vary the set-point according to the time of day, the invention combines the features of a microprocessor, a clock and a controller into one unit. The user enters the time setting (16) and set point into the controller (12). The microprocessor (10) then compares the real-time clock signal with the user time settings and outputs an appropriate set-point value from the microprocessor (10) to the controller (12). To achieve detergent concentration levels quickly without incurring overshoot, the controller (12) senses the detergent concentration and dispenses the proper detergent level to the warewashing machine according to a predetermined detergent feed time based on the previous response time and the programmed set-point (14). Thus, the controller (12) can change the response function if and when conditions change.
