摘要： Embodiments of the present invention are applied in the field of communication technologies. Disclosed are a packet forwarding method, system, and apparatus. A communication device computes a remainder for a determined total number of links by using a hash value of a data packet, the total number of links being 2 raised to an integer power and capable of comprising a sum of the added number of virtual links and the number of actual links for forwarding data packets; if a remainder value of the total number of links computed by using the hash value corresponds to a virtual link, computes another hash value of the data packet and executes a remainder computing step based on the another hash value; operates cyclically until the remainder value of the total number of links computed by using a hash value corresponding to the data packet corresponds to an actual link, and forwards the data packet on the actual link; if the remainder value of the total number of links computed by using a hash value corresponds to a virtual link, directly computes a remainder of the total number of actual links by using the hash value of the data packet, and forwards the data packet on the actual link corresponding to the remainder value. Data packets are allocated to actual links as evenly as possible, thereby reducing an impact on a service.

摘要： This application provides a forwarding entry update method and apparatus, and pertains to the communications field. In the method, write operation information in a write operation packet sent by a packet transmit end includes write operation data and a write operation address. A packet receive end may obtain the write operation information after receiving the write operation packet, and may directly write the write operation data into a memory based on the write operation address, to update a forwarding entry. The packet receive end needs to perform only a memory write operation, without a need to calculate the write operation data. Therefore, a rate at which the packet transmit end delivers a write operation packet is not restricted by processing performance of the packet receive end, thereby effectively improving a rate of delivering a forwarding entry and efficiency in updating the forwarding entry.

摘要： A network device management method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: generating statistical traffic data, where the statistical traffic data includes at least one of data traffic of a port of a network device, a queue status of the network device, traffic of a data packet that passes through the network device, or traffic of a target data flow that passes through the network device; and sending the statistical traffic data to a controller, where the statistical traffic data is used by the controller to manage the network device. The controller receives statistical traffic data sent by multiple network devices, and can adjust a path of a data flow dynamically according to a traffic status of each port of the multiple network devices or a traffic status of a transmitted data flow in the multiple network devices and by changing routing tables of the network devices, thereby improving link utilization, and further improving network performance.
