摘要： Agrochemical compositions including compounds of the general formula (I): R?1-(R2)X1¿-[Link]-R3 where R1 is polyhydroxy hydrocarbyl; R2 is H or hydrocarbyl, or is a group as defined for R1; X1 is a nitrogen containing group as defined, Link is a linking group of the formula (II): -CH¿2?-CHOH-X?2¿- where X2 is as defined and R3 is hydrocarbyl, usually C¿6? to C30, hydrocarbyl. The compounds of the formula (I) can function as emulsifiers, dispersants or, and particularly, as adjuvants. The agrochemical can be a plant growth reguators, herbicides, and/or pesticides, for example insecticides, fungicides, acaricides, nematocides, miticides, rodenticides, bactericides, molluscicides and/or a bird repellent. Particularly useful formulations include water soluble herbicide(s), particularly such as Glyphosate, Sulfosate, Glufosinate and Paraquat. The invention further includes compounds of the formula (IIa): R?1-(R2)X1-[Link1]-R3¿ where R?1, R2, and R3¿ are as defined above for formula (I); and Link1 is a defined linking group; and compounds of the formula (IIb): R?1-(R2)X1a-[Link2]-R3¿ where R?1, R2, and R3¿ are as defined above for formula (I); X1a is a nitrogen containing group as defined and Link2 is a defined linking group.

摘要： Aqueous agrochemical compositions of dispersed phase agrochemicals, particularly phytoactives, such as growth regulators and/or herbicides, or pesticides, such as insecticides, fungicides, or acaricides, include as adjuvant a branched primary alcohol alcoxylate of the formula (I): [CH3.(CH2)n][CH3.(CH2)m] . CH . [(CH2)p . O . (AO)q.H] where n, m, p, AO an q have defined meanings. In the compositions the agrochemical can be present as dispersible granules or dissolved or dispersed in an oil. The compositions can be concentrates or diluted sprayable compositions. A particularly convenient form of composition is as dispersible granules.

摘要： Adjuvants for aqueous agrochemical compositions incorporating hydrocarbyl polysaccharides can be formulated with polyalkylene glycols, particularly polyethylene glycols, without a major loss of effectiveness in the total formulation. The compositions can include other water soluble or dispersible non-ionic surfactants. The agrochemical compositions can be used to kill or inhibit vegetation where the agrochemical includes a growth regulator and/or herbicides, particularly water soluble herbicides, such as a glyphosate type herbicides; or to kill or inhibit plant pests where the agrochemical includes a pesticide, particularly an insecticide, fungicide and/or acaricide.

摘要： Polyacrylamide is made by inverse emulsion polymerisation using an oil phase including at least one ester based oil, particularly a vegetable oil, using a primary emulsification system including a polymeric carboxylic surfactant; a low HLB emulsifier; and an oil phase structurant, particularly an ester wax such as beeswax. The use of the combination emulsifier enables the use of vegetable oils especially rape seed (including canola) oil as the continuous in the polymerisation step.
