摘要： A machine tool of the type comprising a plurality of dog teeth (6a) on the stationary side on a housing (1), a plurality of dog teeth (7a) on the turnable side on a turn table (2) turnably supported on the housing (1) and jointing means (20) including a plurality of joint dog teeth (9a) and an actuator (10) for allowing the joint dog teeth (9a) to be brought in meshing engagement with the dog teeth (6a) on the stationary side and the dog teeth (7a) on the turnable side and disengaged from them and vice versa. When the joint dog teeth (9a) come in meshing engagement with the dog teeth (6a) on the stationary side and the dog teeth (7a) on the turnable side, the turn table (2) is brought in a locked state relative to the housing (1) whereby the turn table (2) is kept immovable without an occurrence of malfunction due to shaky movement of the turn table (2).
