    摘要: A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus is provided in which out of diametrically oppositely disposed heads, a recording head and an erasing head of a same channel are adjacently disposed to each other, the recording head is disposed so as to precede the erasing head with respect to a direction of cylinder rotation and to be behind by two tracks on a tape pattern therefrom, and when insert-editing, using a reproduced signal obtained by the recording head, erase and record timing setting and head tracking are performed and an erasing current is not applied during the reproduction by the recording head. The reproducing heads are disposed so a to be angularly apart about 90 degrees from the recording and erasing heads, and a rotary transformer for the reproduction use is applied with the shield measure and then, formed as a core independently at a upper portion of the cylinder. In addition, further narrow tracks are compatibly reproduced by the recording head.

    摘要: In transmission or recording of a digital signal by means of digital amplitude and phase modulation, particularly recording into and reproducing the same from the a magnetic recording medium, a digital amplitude/phase modulated signal to be demodulated is commonly affected by the nonlinear amplitude characteristics and the effects of unwanted jitter and envelope variation. As the result, the error rate of decoded data will be increased. For compensation, the Viterbi decoding technique is employed with the use of a weighted distance value calculated by multiplying an Euclidean distance between the signal point of a reproduction signal and the datum point of each code by a positive weighting factor which is determined smaller when the code datum point is located further from the origin point of a coordinate system. Accordingly, the weighted distance of each reproduction signal point from its corresponding datum point can approximately be uniform thus ensuring less error decoding in general.

    摘要: A signal processing apparatus for changing the frequency characteristics of an audio or video signal allows a signal to pass a transmission circuit (11) in a positive time sequence and then, transmit through another transmission circuit (14,15) having the same transmission characteristic in a reverse time sequence to the positive time sequence by appropriate writing to and reading from memory circuit (12,13,16,17). Also, while atransmission circuit is arranged to have a zero-phase characteristic, each segment of a continuous signal is processed throughout a period which is equal to at least two times a duration of an impulse response duration of the transmission circuit. Hence, unwanted waveform errors appearing at discontinuous regions of the signal will be eliminated.

The decoder input signal (12) is used to calculate a phase error signal (25) and a quality judgement signal (26). A phase-frequency error detection circuit (22) retains a sign of the phase error signal (25) obtained when the quality judgement signal (26) is changed in quality from "good" to "bad". The phase-frequency error detection circuit (22) then outputs, as a phase-frequency error signal (27), the phase error signal (25) when the signal quality is "good", and a given value corresponding to the retained sign when the signal quality is "bad". A voltage controlled oscillator (9) generates a recovered clock signal (11) whose frequency is based on the oscillation control signal (15) generated by the phase-frequency error signal (27).

    摘要: A disclosed time base corrector comprises a clock generater (107) for generating a clock signal whose period is fixed, an analog-to-digital converter (103) for sampling amplitude values of an input analog signal having a time base error at sampling points given by the clock signal, an adaptive interpolation filter (104) for interpolating a correct amplitude value at a resampling indicated by a resampling position signal, a resampling position signal producing circuit (102) for detecting the time base error and producing from the detected error the resampling position signal, and a digital-to-analog converter (106) for converting the interpolated amplitude values to an analog signal which has no time base errors. The time base correction is implemented by pure digital signal processing without any analog signal processing. The time base corrector does not use such a clock signal that has time base fluctuations.
