A current and preceding frame rates are statistically processed to obtain frequencies of combinations of the current and the preceding frame rates and to store the frequencies. The first relationship is determined by a difference between a processing time of correlators and the like and a delay time of a delay unit. A next frame search rate judgement portion statistically processes frequencies of combinations of the current and the preceding frame rates so as to calculate a next frame rate candidate in accordance with the first relationship. The next frame rate is predicted by using the next frame rate candidate with reference to a second relationship similar to the first relationship.

    摘要: The object of the present invention is to realize a method that keeps the closed loop increment of the transmission power of the mobile station in a CDMA mobile communication system almost constant until the base station succeeds in decoding the first preamble signal from the mobile station without error and thus reduce interference, the method comprising the steps of determining a signal-to-interference ratio and a maximum transmission power level respectively as first and second thresholds, measuring these values again and comparing them with the predetermined thresholds after a period. The power increment per period is indicated only if one of the measured values is smaller than the corresponding threshold. When the preamble signal is normally decoded, a closed-loop power control algorithm is started.

    (d) not indicating the power increment per said predetermined period if said measured signal-to-interference ratio is greater than said first threshold or if said present transmission power level is greater than said second threshold;
    (e) indicating a further power increment per said predetermined period if said measured signal-to-interference ratio is smaller than said first threshold or if said present transmission power level is smaller than said second threshold;
    (f) confirming whether a preamble signal from the mobile station is normally decoded, and returning to said step (c) if the preamble signal is not normally decoded; and
    (g) starting a closed-loop power control algorithm if it is confirmed that the preamble signal is normally decoded in said step (f).
