摘要： The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices, methods of forming such devices, and elements of such devices. In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides atomizers and elements thereof, such as a combined wick and heater configured to improve vaporization response time, particularly on porous, monolithic wicks. The wick can have a tapered end that engages the interior of a substantially basket-shaped wire heater coil. The heater also may be in the form of a conductive mesh that is present on a portion of the wick.

- an outer housing or body (916);
- a reservoir (918) configured to retain an aerosol precursor composition, the reservoir being positioned within the outer housing and defining a channel (984);
- a liquid transport element (920) in contact with the reservoir along a substantial entirety thereof and being configured to transport the aerosol precursor composition through the liquid transport element;
- an atomizer, preferably a heating element (922) positioned within the outer housing configured for vaporization of the aerosol precursor composition to form a vapor,
wherein one or both of the reservoir and the liquid transport element comprise a porous monolith comprising a ceramic and the atomizer is positioned proximate to the porous monolith.
