摘要： The invention concerns a device (1) for operating an element, in particular a safety element, for protecting goods and/or people and in particular for protecting at least a vehicle passenger, comprising a gas generating system (3) connected to said safety element [for example a safety airbag (2)] and comprising an explosible charge (4) consisting of at least a primary pyrotechnic compound (5) and a secondary compound (6). The invention is characterised in that the at least primary compound is designed to control the decomposition of the at least secondary compound (6) and enables at least an interaction of the combustion products of the primary and secondary compounds in at least a non confined or slightly confined interaction volume (7) of said gas generating system (3), said interaction capable of being at least partly a redox reaction.
