The anode electrode (30) has a light transmissivity ranging from about 3% to about 15%. A method of forming the anode electrode (30) includes forming an interlayer on the phosphor and black layers, removing a portion of the interlayer corresponding to the black layer, depositing a conductive material on the second substrate, and removing the interlayer through a firing process.
