摘要： A destruction device 1 capable of destroying a plurality of types of storage devices includes: a table to which a tray is detachably mounted; a tool mounting part to which a crushing tool that (i) accords with the type of the storage device and (ii) sandwiches and crushes the storage device with the tray is detachably mounted; a tray detection unit 81 capable of detecting the tray mounted on the table; a tool detection unit 82 capable of detecting the crushing tool mounted on the tool mounting part; and a control unit 94 that determines whether the tray detected by the tray detection unit 81 and the crushing tool detected by the tool detection unit 82 correspond to the same type of storage device, and executes a crushing process for crushing the storage device upon determining that they correspond to the same type of storage device.
