Validation codes (106, 108) are entered into a computer (304) which is communicatively connected to the Internet (306) and registered at a designated Internet site (400). Rewards and benefits (570) are thereafter available to the individual at retail stores (2120) and Internet sites if the code previously had been registered at the designated Internet site.
