The hook bodies (2, 2) are formed of two plates disposed apart from each other, respectively. The hook portions (3, 3) are integrally fixed to lower ends of the hook bodies (2, 2), respectively. The movable pressing portion (5) is rotatably supported between the hook portions (3, 3). The operating portion (7) is subject to a tension load of a hoist. The link unit (8) has both ends rotatalby connected to the movable pressing portion (5) and the operating portion (7). If the operating portion (7) is pulled upward, the movable pressing portion (5) presses a wire harness (WH), which is hooked to the hook portion (3), against the hook portion (3).

    摘要: In the logging and other handling operations, a cable is often looped about the elongated object and cinched tight through a choker hook assembly in order to transport the objects. A remotely controlled hook assembly has a body (4), including an eye (6) for the passage of the cable. Encased within the body is a slidable pin (40) that serves to lock the latch arm and therefore the end of the cable. A positioning means is also within the housing and serves to rotate a catch member (64) allowing the slidable pin to move downwardly, thereby releasing the latch arm and cable. A pair of appropriately sized and located springs (56, 58) serve to both move the sliding pin downwardly and to bias the pin upwardly. A radio controlled servo (78) may be used as the positioning means.

If a predetermined load (Lo) engaging on the closed hook (5) is exceeded, the receiver (13) and/or the actuator (11) is deactivated.
