Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, ein derartiges Zwischenmittel (2) zur Verfügung zu stellen, welches zumindest bei Flintenlaufgeschossen (2) der beschriebenen Art die Schusspräzision wesentlich verbessert, ohne die Abdichtung des Gasdrucks zum Lauf zu beeinträchtigen. Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe dadurch, dass die Scheibe (10) eine im wesentlichen gleichmäßige Wandstärke (a) aufweist, die in den Übergangsbereichen zu den Stegen (11) durch eine umlaufende Nut (16) reduziert ist.
