摘要: Further, the present specification is directed towards personnel screening systems comprising modular components, including detector and source units, where a dual axis scanning beam is employed. In one configuration, the subject under inspection remains stationary and is positioned between two scanning modules. The X-ray source assembly is designed to minimize the overall system footprint while still yielding the requisite field of view, low radiation exposure level, and required resolution. The modular components allow for a compact, light and yet sufficiently rugged overall structure that can be disassembled for ease of transportation and is also simple to reassemble at a required site for inspection.

摘要: The present invention provides a multi-view X-ray inspection system. In one embodiment, a beam steering mechanism directs the electron beam from an X-ray source to multiple production targets which generate X-rays for scanning which are subsequently detected by a plurality of detectors to produce multiple image slices (views). The system is adapted for use in CT systems. In one embodiment of a CT system, the X-ray source and detectors rotate around the object covering an angle sufficient for reconstructing a CT image and then reverse to rotate around the object in the opposite direction. The inspection system, in any configuration, can be deployed inside a vehicle for use as a mobile detection system.

摘要: The present application describes an inspection system for detecting a threat within an object. The inspection system has a conveyor belt for moving said object in a first direction through a detection volume, at least two inspection subsystems positioned along the first direction, where at least one inspection subsystem transmits electromagnetic pulses to the object and wherein both detect electromagnetic fields generated by the object. A computer receives data indicative of the detected electromagnetic fields, generates a signal based upon the data and compares the signals to predetermined thresholds.
