La seringue de sécurité comprend un logement tubulaire allongé dans lequel se loge un protège-aiguille allongé qui est relié de manière télescopique au logement et qui est monté de manière à être aligné sur le même axe que le boîtier. Un cylindre de seringue est monté coaxialement dans le protège-aiguille et comprend sur une de ses extrémités un ensemble d'aiguille et sur son extrémité opposée une plaque terminale. La plaque terminale s'encliquete dans une rainure formée dans une bride transversale du logement et attache ainsi de manière fixe le cylindre de seringue au logement. Une plaque d'étanchéité recouvre la plaque terminale verrouillée en pénétrant dans une autre rainure formée dans la bride. Une ou plusieurs pattes de verrouillage souples pouvant être abaissées sont portées sur le protège-aiguille et s'étendent dans des ouvertures alignées correspondantes formées dans le logement pour bloquer le protège-aiguille en position déployée dans laquelle il recouvre l'aiguille. Lorsqu'on appuie sur les pattes de verrouillage et qu'on exerce une pression dirigée vers l'intérieur sur l'extrémité avant du protège-aiguille, ce dernier peut se déplacer et s'opposer à la tension d'un ressort à boudin situé dans le boîtier et découvrir et libérer ainsi l'aiguille pour permettre d'extraire le médicament du flacon de médicament ou d'effectuer une injection.

摘要： A catheter device is described with a safety needle guard (30) that covers and protects the needle after use of the device. The device includes a semi-tubular needle housing (20) containing a flash chamber with a hollow needle (24) extending from the distal end of the flash chamber (26). A tubular needle guard concentrically fits and slides within the needle housing. The needle guard is of two-piece construction and has a longitudinal slot (36) through which the mounting base (27) of the flash chamber passes as the guard slides within the housing. The top of the semi-tubular housing is open so that a user may access the top of the tubular needle guard with a finger to urge the needle guard to an extended position from the distal end of the housing and in a surrounding position about the needle. As the telescopic needle guard attains its fully extended position about the needle, it locks in place in the needle housing, and both pieces also work in place.

摘要： A safety syringe having a protective sleeve which is movable between a retracted position wherein the needle is exposed and a locked extended position wherein the needle is protected. A collar is attached to the distal end of the barrel to selectively engage a key on the shield in the retracted and extended positions. The locking mechanism preferably includes a series of ramps and slots which engage portions of the shield to retain the shield in the retracted and extended positions. The shield slides longitudinally between the retracted and extended positions and, in a preferred embodiment, may be rotated about the barrel of the syringe to irreversibly lock the shield in the extended position.

At least a portion of the track 14A is formed by a slot 15 extending through the wall of a collar 6 which is separately formed from the remainder of the outer sleeve part 5 and which is fitted within an end portion of the remainder of the outer sleeve part 5 when the accessory is assembled. Such an arrangement provides for ease of fabrication and assembly.
