The invention relates to a convertible roof for a vehicle and the associated vehicle. The inventive roof comprises at least one front roof element (2) and a rear roof element (5) which can move between a deployed position, in which they cover the passenger compartment, and a storage position, in which they are stored in the boot of the vehicle. The roof also comprises two pivot arms (14, 15) which each pivot along an axis (A, B). The invention is characterised in that the roof comprises motorization means (34, 35), first means of locking the pivot arms (14, 15) to the post of the windshield of the vehicle and second means of locking at least one front roof element (2) to the pivot arms (14, 15). According to the invention, the first and second locking means and the pivoting movement of the arms (14,15) are controlled by the same motorization means (34), such as an electric motor.
