Process for the preparation of a vinylidene chloride polymer composite comprising a clay material encapsulated in the vinylidene chloride polymer. The process comprises providing a dispersion of a clay material in a liquid phase, said dispersion comprising a RAFT/MADIX agent; providing vinylidene chloride and optionally one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerisable therewith to said dispersion; and polymerising vinylidene chloride and said optionally present one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomer under the control of said RAFT/MADIX agent to form polymer at the surface of said clay material.

The invention relates to a method for producing a polymer product having integrated luminescent material particles, the polymer product being produced from at least one monomer in liquid phase and at least one kind of powder of luminescent material particles. The method is characterized by adding the luminescent material to the liquid monomer before polymerisation. The invention further relates to a plastic component for light conversion made of the polymer produced according to said method; a Light-emitting device comprising said plastic component; and the use of a polymer produced according to said method.

The present invention relates to a fluorine-containing copolymer composition comprising: (A) a fluorine-containing copolymer having a repeating unit based on fluoroolefin and a repeating unit based on a monomer having no fluorine atom; potassium carbonate; and an organic solvent, in which an amount of potassium carbonate contained is from 5 ppm to 80 ppm, on the K 2 O basis, based on the fluorine-containing copolymer (A).

The present invention relates to an organic-inorganic composite comprising an inorganic compound particle and a polymer attached to the inorganic compound particle, wherein a molecular weight distribution of the polymer is 2.3 or less, and a content of the inorganic compound particle is 96% by mass or less with respect to a total mass of the organic-inorganic composite. Moreover, the present invention relates to a photonic crystal, an organic-inorganic composite film, a coating material, and a thermoplastic composition comprising the organic-inorganic composite.
