摘要: A process for allocating frequencies to base stations of a mobile radiotelephone network is based on input information which contains at least the number of frequencies required for each base station, the admissible frequencies in the mobile radiotelephone network and information on possible interference effects between the base stations in the event of similar and/or contiguous frequencies. The following steps are alternatively carried out: (a) a base station among the plurality of base stations to which not all available frequencies have yet been allocated is selected according to a first base station selection criterion and if required further base station selection criteria; (b) a frequency is selected according to a first frequency selection criterion and if required further frequency selection criteria; (c) the frequency selected during step (b) is identified as allocated to the base station selected during step (a).

摘要: In an auto disc changer (1) according to the present invention, discs stored in the stocker (13) and in a closed disc tray are positioned with their centers on an A axis. The discs stored in the carriage (14) and placed on a turntable of a player (16) are positioned with their centers on a B axis which is parallel to the A axis. The disc is clamped with a disc clamper inside the carriage. Such construction can decrease the number of parts used, making control simpler. Further, an initializing position and a standby position for the carriage are set so as to make the height of the disc in the disc tray the same as the height of the disc in the carriage, so that the system can start up quickly. A reference position for the carriage is set within the range of movement through which the carriage must pass in every operation mode, and accordingly, the position of the carriage remains accurate.

摘要: An image projection system employing microlaser and/or diode laser arrays (11). Each laser in each array is individually addressable. The system includes three linear laser arrays, one red (12), one green (13), and one blue (14), each individually addressable laser being powered and modulated in accordance with the input image signal (21). When microlaser arrays, which are energized by laser diode pumps, are used, the laser diode pumps are formed in equivalent arrays (15, 16, 17). The laser output beams are combined in a dichroic prism (31) and reflected off a rotating multifaceted scanning mirror (22) which effects two dimensional scanning as it rotates. The image beam reflected from the scanner passes through an imaging lens (24), a speckle eliminator (25) and then onto the projection screen (27). The invention also includes the method of generating and scanning the image beam, as well as the novel speckle eliminator and the microlaser array configured for optimally close spacing to achieve the desired result. In one embodiment, the laser diode pumps are directly modulated by the video signal, while in another embodiment the microlaser outputs are modulated utilizing a spatial light modulator array.

摘要: Imitation bricks (10) made of molded plastic are linked by hinged connectors (48) to form edging strips for flower beds, lawns or garden paths. Compressible rectangular washers (11) between the bricks simulate mortar joints. Anchoring prongs (32) with barded tips are used to implant the blocks into the soil. A facia plate (60) snaps into the connecting hole of the last brick in a series. A string of lights (40) can be run through a string of bricks to illuminate all or some of them.
