The drying station includes a dryer having a telescoping plenum which provides a shield and drying region for the stent or scaffold to reside while a heated gas is passed over the stent/scaffold. The shield and drying region improve efficiency in drying, predictability or drug release rate, uniformity of coating material properties lengthwise over the stent/scaffold and provide a platform that can effectively support stents that are over 40 mm in length.

A transportable or hand carriable forced air dryer for boots, gloves and facepieces such as gas masks and other headpieces with attached drinking tubes. A pair of manifolds having spaced parallel tubes extend in opposite directions from a blower housing/plenum structure. Each manifold has plural spaced upstanding air discharge tubes. Each air discharge tube has attached thereto a form expander in looped form extending in spaced parallel arrangement and terminating beyond the air discharge to prevent air blockage by the article to be dried. One manifold is permanently connected and the other is quick connected and quick disconnected, without tools for field reassembly. For transport, the released manifold is inverted and nested on the permanently connected manifold for compact installation in a tote bag. The air discharge tubes are provided with a nipple sized and threaded to receive thereon a standard military canteen cap having a reduced size nipple thereon for connection to a drinking tube of a gas mask disposed for drying on an adjacent air discharge tube.

The invention also relates to a device for performing the method according to the invention for drying, modelling and/or thermally modifying wooden parts, comprising:—a bath adapted to receive the wooden parts, which bath is intended to receive a liquid such as paraffin or (linseed) oil—heating means for heating the liquid. The dryer includes an internal combustion engine (44) driving a blower (42) for movement of air through the flexible bag (10). The nozzle insert of the present invention includes at least one intake having a central portion, wherein a pair of center vanes is disposed for directing airflow. The central portion is bounded by at least one turning vane adapted for directing airflow in a lateral direction. For each turning vane, there is at least one straightening vane adapted for curtailing swirling of the airflow. The vanes are oriented at optimal angles for directing the flow of the nozzle in a lateral direction, while permitting some air to penetrate the central portion through a series of ports. The intakes are bounded by a series of insulated bulkheads, which serve to direct airflow and contain heat-loss through thermal emission.
