    摘要: The invention is directed at a system and method to accomplish Maritime Protection missions. The system comprises a number of nodes equipped with Boxes comprising at least two sensors, a positioning module, a processing module and a communication module. The Boxes may be positioned on moving or fixed platforms, such as the HVUs themselves, navy ships, USVs or spar-type buoys. The system relies on LOS and NLOS communication links and implements a publish/subscribe paradigm on a network the topology of which may be automatically reconfigured while the nodes are moving. The nodes may be organised in a hierarchical structure of groups of nodes. The system is capable of running cooperative intention detection processes to compute the likelihood of a threat. One of the key advantages of the invention is to provide cost-efficient distributed observation systems which deliver early warning thus allowing for a reduced number of response platforms.

    摘要: There is disclosed a method for estimating the position and the speed of a target with a radar.
    The radar emits a waveform comprising a train of pulses, each pulse comprising an OFDM chip constructed from subcarriers, the subcarriers covering the whole bandwidth of the radar.
    Upon receipt of the echoed pulses, some of the subcarriers are used in a step of Doppler processing, each of said subcarriers being fixed over the pulses.
    Upon receipt of the echoed pulses, other subcarriers, that are not used for Doppler processing, are used in a step of High Range Resolution processing, the said subcarriers being randomly distributed over the pulses.
