摘要: A wireless communications system employing code-division multiple access information transmission techniques includes a transmission facility having ground-based transmission and reception electronic equipment, a remotely located RF power amplifier, an antenna, and an RF cable connecting the ground-based equipment with the remotely located RF power amplifier. Power level detectors in the ground-based equipment and in the remotely located RF power amplifier measure the signal level at each end of the RF cable. A microcontroller compares these measurements and adjusts a variable attenuator in the transmission signal path and a variable attenuator in the received signal path to compensate for signal level variability due to variations in signal loss.

In order to measure leakage power to an adjacent channel when burst signals are used as communication signals, the input signals are converted into digital signals by means of an A/D converter (23) and the digital signals combined with modulated signals are written in a waveform memory (25). The input signals read out from the memory (25) are demodulated into the original digital data by means of a demodulating section (29). An extraction section calculating section (33) determines the extraction section AR of the input signals stored in the memory (25) by detecting the synchronizing word position of the demodulated digital data. One or more filters (35a and 35) pass the signal components in each frequency band of a main channel and the adjacent channels of the main channel. Switching sections (34 and 28) supply the signals in the determined extraction section out of the input signals stored in the memory (25) to each filter. One or more of power measuring sections (35a and 36) measure the power of each signal component passed through each filter.

The spectral energy in the signal emitted by a mobile telephone handset is measured for portions of the signal carrying random data, both before and after a non-random midamble. By including both random portions in the measurement the time taken to perform it is approximately halved, whilst maintaining its statistical significance.

According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises: a plurality of antennas; at least one antenna tuning circuit coupled to at least one of the plurality of antennas; and at least one communication processor. The at least one communication processor can: receive, through a first antenna among the plurality of antennas, a signal transmitted from a base station on the basis of multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO); receive, through a second antenna among the plurality of antennas, the signal transmitted from the base station on the basis of the MIMO; on the basis that the intensity of the first signal received through the first antenna or the second signal received through the second antenna is greater than or equal to a first threshold, determine whether an imbalance condition of the first signal and the second signal is satisfied; and, on the basis that the imbalance condition is satisfied, adjust a setting value of the at least one antenna tuning circuit in order to reduce the difference between the intensity of the first signal and the intensity of the second signal. Various other embodiments are possible.
