摘要： Instead of using the compacting plunger of the baler (10) to unload one or more bales (216, 218) from the bale chamber (18), an auxiliary ejector system (28, 48, 86) may be utilized that enables the operator to select only the last bale (216) for off-loading, or both the last bale (216) and the next-to-last bale (218). A shuttle assembly (28) housed almost entirely within hollow rails (34, 36, 38) of the bale case (22) has a number of ejector dogs (58, 60, 62, 64, 66) that need not all be placed in operating position simultaneously, thus permitting the operator to choose to actuate only those dogs (58, 60, 62, 64, 66) which are necessary to off-load the bale he selects. An inclined bale chute (136) that receives the discharging bales (216, 218) and guides them to the ground may be selectively raised into a folded up transport position using the same power cylinder (48) that drives the ejector shuttle (28).

摘要： A crop harvester (10) of the rotary cutter bed type has a series of rotary cutters (32a-32j) extending across the path of travel of the machine and rotatable about individual upright axes. The cutter bed (30) extends in opposite directions beyond the ends of a central discharge opening (102) to the conditioner rolls. Cutters (32a; 32b; 32i; 32j) located outboard of the opening direct cut crop materials along the front of the cutter bed (30) until the opposite extremities of the discharge openings are reached, whereupon pairs of cooperating, oppositely rotating cutters in front of the opening function to propel the crop material rearwardly with the main flow of cut materials. Alternative forms of conveying means (292; 296; 306) are provided in association with the outboard cutters (32a; 32b; 32i; 32j) for moving the cut crop centrally without the use of augers or other additional gathering mechanism behind the row of cutters.

摘要： A crop harvester (10) is provided with a rotary type cutter bed (30) in which a series of rotary cutters (32a-32j) extend across the path of travel of the machine for rotation about individual upright axes. A hydraulic drive for the cutter bed includes a variable volume pump (210) driven by the output shaft of an engine (208) associated with the harvester. The operating circuit of the hydraulic drive pumps oil through the circuit at a certain rate of flow, depending upon the engine speed and the position of a swash plate (260) within the pump. A control circuit communicating with the operating circuit (228) is capable of sensing load in the operating circuit tending to lug down and reduce the speed of the engine (208), which would normally reduce the flow rate and hence the cutter speed. However, in response to detecting such increased load, the control circuit compensates by adjusting the position of the swash plate (260) so as to correspondingly pump more oil at the lower engine speed, thus maintaining the cutter speed essentially constant.
