    摘要: A semiconductor laser diode (10) emits and delivers a continuous wave optical signal of a given first wavelength and power to pump a soliton mode-locked fiber laser having a repetition rate up to GHz. The fiber laser cavity (50) comprising a dichroic mirror (51), a SESAM (53) and only a short highly-doped active fiber (52) with length in the range of 10 cm and configured to receive the emitted continuous wave optical signal and to emit a pulsed optical signal of a given second wavelength, generating laser light in the form of mode-locked ultrashort pulses; a unit (11) coupling the semiconductor laser diode (10) to the fiber laser cavity (50); and an isolator device (12) protecting the fiber laser cavity (50) from back reflections.     摘要: An all-fiber configuration system and method for generating temporally coherent supercontinuum pulsed emission are provided. The system comprises a sequential structure of all-fiber sections including: a fiber laser seed source (110, 210) to produce a seed pulse with given optical properties; a stretching section (120, 220) including an optical fiber (121, 221) to temporally stretch the seed pulse; an amplification section (130, 230) including an active optical fiber (131, 231), doped with a rare earth element, to amplify the stretched pulse by progressively stimulating radiation of active ions of the doped active optical fiber (131, 231); a compressing section (140, 230) to temporally compress the amplified pulse; and a spectrum broadening section (150, 250) including an ANDi microstructured fiber (151, 251) that spectrally broadens the compressed pulse by a nonlinear effect of Self Phase Modulation, SPM, while maintaining the temporal coherence of the pulse.
