    摘要: A pigment containing low-order titanium oxide of this invention is characterized in that both aluminum oxide and silicon oxide exist together with low- order titanium oxide. A method of manufacturing such a pigment comprises the steps of; presenting an aluminum compound and silicon compound as a reducing agents together with titanium dioxide: and then heating and reducing the mixture in an atmosphere having a low oxygen content. According to this method, the pigment containing low-order titanium oxide can efficiently be manufactured, while preventing sintering generated due to the fusion between the reducing agents or the reducing agents and powders.
