Der Wulst (12') an der Laufpartie (12) des Spinnringes (1) hat eine Höhe (H), die höchstens 1/3 grösser als die Dicke (K) des Wulstes ist. Dadurch können Läufer mit geringem Aussenabmessungen verwendet werden, wodurch eine grössere Drahtdicke des Läufermaterials gewählt werden kann, wodurch die Standzeit des Läufers in der Ringspinnmaschine gegenüber dem Stand der Technik wesentlich erhöht ist. Der im Vergleich zum Stand der Technik grosse Radius (R1) und der vergleichsweise kleine Radius (R2) führen zu annähernd konstanter Flächenpressung zwischen Ringläufer und Spinnring und ermöglichen einen stabilen Lauf während des Spinnprozesses.

The flattened floor of the cup is then stamped out and a flange (70) formed on the blank (12d) by a stamping and deep-drawing tool (68), the flange being shaped by a stamping tool to form the finished flanged ring. This method enables chip-removing machining operations to be avoided, thus reducing manufacturing costs.

A spinning ring for a ring spinning machine is produced by clamping and pressing a ring-like steel blank (113) by a mandrel (102) and a forming roll (101), pressing and deforming the blank by cold rolling, causing the blank (113) to fluidize in, and fill, the gap between both machining surfaces of the forming roll and the mandrel, and rolling the blank in the direction of thickness and so expanding its diameter into a predetermined size. To prevent crack, a ring-like blank (113) whose portion having a large machining quantity is in advance machined to a smaller thickness by machining means such as forging, cutting and rolling is preferably used. Since this production method does not essentially remove the material, the yield of the material is high, and because the number of production steps is less, the production cost can be reduced. Because the spinning ring for a ring spinning machine so produced is free from scratch and cutting trace on the surface of the product, particularly on the inner peripheral surface of a ring flange coming into contact with a traveller, the wear resistance of the traveller can be improved. Further, because a cut portion of a metal flow does not develop on the running surface of the traveller, the fatigue resistance of the spinning ring can be improved.

L'anneau de filage (1) en acier est trempe partiellement, c'est-a-dire dans une zone locale (8) de l'anneau (1) dans laquelle se trouve une collerette de curseur (2) avec sa surface de guidage (3). Cette zone (8) est composee d'une couche de rodage exterieure plus molle (11) et d'un noyau trempe (9). La couche de rodage (11) comprend une couche superficielle de nitrure de fer (7) qui se transforme graduellement en une couche de transition austenitique et martensitique (10) contenant de l'azote dont la teneur en austenite diminue vers l'interieur, ce qui se traduit par une augmentation de la durete. Apres avoir use la couche de nitrure de fer (7), le curseur peut glisser sur la couche de transition (10) dont la durete augmente graduellement et qui devient toujours plus resistante a l'usure. Ceci diminue considerablement le temps de rodage et permet un fonctionnement sans panne apres le rodage. Les dimensions de l'anneau de filage (1) sont rigoureusement maintenues du fait que la trempe est limitee a la zone (8).
