A cap (3) is formed of a synthetic resin and injection-molded over at least a peripheral edge portion of the head (6). The stud body (2) includes a cap-retaining portion in the form of a pluralaity of recesses (9) formed in the peripheral edge portion of the head (6) and held in locking engagement with the material of the molded cap (3) for firmly retaining the cap (3) in position against removal from, and rotation relative to, the head (6).

    摘要： A button for being attached to a garment fabric (51) has a button body (11) composed of a double-walled tubular stem (14) with an annular flange (15) extending radially outwardly therefrom, a cap (12) mounted on the button body (11) and the cap (12), and a tack member (40) having a central shank (42) for penetrating the garment fabric (51) into the tubular stem (14) to join the tack member (40) to the button body (11) with the garment fabric (51) interposed therebetween. The annular flange (15) includes a first marginal wall (25) flaring radially outwardly and having a plurality of radially outward projections (30). The cap (12) also has a second marginal wall (33) fitted overthefirst marginal wall (25) and including a plurality of protuberances (35) deformed radially outwardly by the projections (30), respectively. The projections (30) and the protuberances (35) are held in interlocking engagement for preventing the button body (11) and the cap (12) from rotating relatively to each other. The shank (42) of the tack member (40) has a tapered end portion (42a) which, upon being forced into the button body (11), is plastically deformable againstthe back plate (13) laterally into a retainer hood (52) held in locking engagement with the tubular stem (14).

    摘要： The present invention provides a tack which prevents puckering phenomenon from being generated when the tack is pierced into cloth and enables a firm engagement between the tack and a boss portion of a button. In the tack (1) for button, a cylindrical post (4) stands on the center of a seat plate (3) and a quadrangular pyramid shaped head (5) is formed at an end of the post (4). The head (5) is pointed such that a vertical angle of each of peripheral faces of the head (5) is in a range of 20 to 40°. Four corners (7) on a proximal periphery (6) of the head (5) are protruded out of an outer peripheral face of the post (4) so as to form an engaging portion (8) which bites into a wall face of an attaching hole (17) in a boss portion (2) of the button. When the tack (1) is pierced into cloth, because the head (5) makes a linear contact with the cloth and it is pointed, no puckering phenomenon occurs, thereby making it possible to engage and fix the tack (1) to the boss portion (2) firmly.
