Seed drill (1) is capable of being towed by a four wheeled motorbike and has a container (2) which acts as a seed hopper. Positioned underneath the container (2) is a metering device (3) which is described in greater detail in Figures 2 and 3. Below the metering device (3) are a number of tubes (4) which are seed outlets to which the metering device (3) feeds the seed it receives from the container (2). There are six seed track/outlet combinations, one for each of the outlets (4). A peripheral guide forms part of the metering device (3). The peripheral guide is a disc of material that defines an aperture. On the inner walls of the guide is a seed track and an outlet. At the base of the seed track is a flange. A vertical-axis rotor fits within the aperture of the guide. The rotor rotating within the aperture causes seed falling from the container (2) onto the guide to be dragged down into the inside walls of the guide. The seeds are guided by a seed track to the guide outlet and into the appropriate seed outlet. The flange enables a column of seeds to build up within the seed track providing some independence of the availability of the seed to the rotor from the container (2).

A system for dispensing crop input products from multiple meters per crop row, including: a) a georeferencing module configured to receive and process georeferenced location information; b) a prescriptive control module configured to receive the processed georeferenced location information from the georeferencing module and utilize the georeferenced location information to generate specific prescriptive rate information for individual meters in the field; and, c) a meter controller module operatively connected to the prescriptive control module. The meter controller module is configured to utilize the specific prescriptive rate information to individually control multiple meters per crop row, to simultaneously dispense crop input products at specific prescriptive rates at georeferenced locations throughout the field.

Systems, methods and apparatus for selection of crop-input varieties. In one embodiment multiple varieties of seeds may be planted utilizing a row unit seed hopper having a plurality of compartments for receiving seed, each compartment having a seed passage through which seeds pass under gravity. A seed transfer actuator is disposed within or below the row unit seed hopper and is in communication with each of the seed passages and is configured to selectively open the seed passage of one of the plurality of compartments thereby permitting the seeds therein to pass into the seed pool of a seed meter while closing the seed passage of other of the plurality of compartments preventing the seeds from the other plurality of compartments passing into the seed pool of the seed meter.

A smart fit dosage mechanism with devices adaptable to a solid particle dispenser. The object is to provide accurate dosages with low volumes of solid particles, especially those with low granulometry. The mechanism comprises a reducer device (1), a propeller device (2) and a stabilizer device (3). This innovative technology can be applied in sprays and in precision dispensers for fertilizers, correctives and other solid low granulometry products used in agriculture and other segments. This technology promotes more efficiency in the dosage of solid products for crops, minimizing the cost with fertilizing, and also avoiding the inappropriate use of fertilizers that could harm the environment.
