    摘要: A receiver, such as for use in a hearing aid, is disclosed. The receiver comprises a housing and a diaphragm assembly disposed within the housing. The diaphragm assembly acoustically divides the housing into a front volume and a back volume. The diaphragm assembly comprises a paddle having a perimeter, a flexible annulus connected to the paddle, and a diaphragm support, wherein the diaphragm support secures the perimeter of the annulus to the housing. The receiver further comprises a plurality of apertures in the diaphragm assembly, wherein the plurality of apertures provides an acoustic distortion of no greater than 2% THD.

    摘要: This invention relates to electro-acoustic transducers such as is generally indicated at (10) and which comprise a body (11) defining a chamber (12), a plate (13) bearing a microphone or speaker (14) to which is attached a stalk (15), a diaphragm (16), connectable to the stalk (15), which extends substantially across the chamber (12), an end piece (17) and an end cap (18). The end piece (17) has a kidney-shaped recess (21) which provides the main communication path between subsidiary inlets/outlets (19) and a main inlet/outlet (20). When the channel (22) is closed off by the end cap (18) it is effectively in the form of a tube and constitutes a Thuras tube. The length of this path effectively creates a long discharge path between the wearer's ear and any earthable metal part within the transducer and hence protects against electric shock.

    摘要: An electromagnetic sound generating body comprises a sound generator (13); a casing (12) having an upper case (14) and a lower case (15) combined together, the casing (12) incorporating the sound generator (13); a sound release hole (17) formed in the casing (12); and connector terminals (23) projecting from the casing (12). Because the electromagnetic sound generating body can be electrically connected to a printed circuit board simply by inserting the connector terminals (23) into external terminals, there is no need to surface-mount the electromagnetic sound generating body onto the printed circuit board. Therefore, vibrations of the electromagnetic sound generating body do not produce noise in the electronic components and circuits mounted on the printed circuit board. The casing (12) is attached with an adhesive member (36) in advance and then secured to an exterior case (35) by the adhesive member, and therefore the positional alignment between the sound release hole (17) of the casing and an external sound release hole (39) of the exterior case can be performed easily and reliably. Thus, in the case when the exterior case is that of a mobile phone, an incoming call indicator tone is prevented from being trapped inside the exterior case (35) of the phone.
