摘要： A submersible pump and filter unit for pumping and filtering acids comprises a removable pump cartridge (13) and filter unit (14) housed in respective cylindrical cavities (11 and 12) in a housing (10). The pump cartridge (13) is a gas-driven double acting bellows unit with a cylindrical body (13A), the bellows (21 and 22) and the body (13A) being formed of PTFE. Each bellows (21, 22) is at a respective end of a reciprocating rod (36) which is journaled coaxially in the body (13A) and which extends through a central aperture (16) in the body (13A). Control gear including a logic control valve (41) is housed in the aperture (16) and is thereby encased in PTFE structure and shielded from acid.

摘要： A hot melt adhesive pump having a first stage gear pump for metering molten hot melt adhesive into a second stage gear pump where gas is mixed and driven into solution with the adhesive is provided with ports extending between opposed gear faces permitting the leakage of adhesive under pressure between gear faces. Pressure imbalances which might otherwise exist due to the accumulation of hot melt adhesive in an interface between the gear faces and adjacent surfaces, e.g., a pair of plates, between which the gears are sandwiched, are alleviated because adhesive under pressure in this interface can pass through the ports, thereby balancing the thrust forces on the opposed gear faces. The result is reduced gear and end plate wear and increased pump life.

摘要： A reciprocating compressor is provided. The compressor comprises a crankcase (2) containing a crankshaft (4), and a cylinder (20) having at least one intake valve (24) for receiving a process gas and at least one exhaust valve (26) for removing the process gas. A distance piece (18) has a single chamber and is located between the crankcase (2) and the cylinder (20). A reciprocating piston head (22) is located in the cylinder (20) and attached to a distal end of a piston rod (16), where the piston rod extends through the distance piece (18) into the crankcase (2). The crankcase (2) comprises a crosshead housing (12) located between the distance piece (18) and the crankshaft (4), the crosshead housing containing a crosshead member (14) connecting a proximal end of the piston rod (16) to a small end of a first connecting rod (6), where a big end (8) of the first connecting rod is connected to the crankshaft (4). The compressor further comprises a first fluid seal (28) surrounding the piston rod (16) at a junction between the crosshead housing (12) and the distance piece (18), and a second fluid seal (30) surrounding the piston rod at a junction between the distance piece and the cylinder (20). The crankcase (2) defines a sealed chamber and includes a control gas inlet valve (11) connectable to control gas supply (9) so as to selectively fill the sealed chamber with a control gas.

摘要： A liquid additive injection pump for injecting a predetermined amount of a secondary fluid into a primary fluid stream wherein a fluid mixing chamber is disposed within the pump housing assembly. A gasket having at least one one-way valve is positioned between the pump assembly components and mixing chamber thereby allowing a primary fluid to pass through the pump assembly and into the mixing chamber where the introduction of a second fluid occurs. The mixed fluids are then discharged through an outlet. The one-way valve gasket assembly acts to prevent the mixed and/or secondary fluid from passing upstream of the gasket assembly and into the pump assembly.
