    摘要: A high capacity hopper (10) is disclosed comprising a frame, a cylinder (12) mounted for rotation in the hopper (10), and a mount adapter (30) whose central axis is offset from the central axis of the cylinder (12). The offset causes the coins inserted into the hopper (10) to pile up against a wall (44) in the cylinder (12). Eventually, the coins agglomerate into a large mass and spill into the mount adapter (30) where they are picked up by a coin transport disc assembly (28). In addition, lift fingers (62) pick up coins from the coin agglomeration found against the wall (44) and lift then above the wall (44) so that they fall into the mount adapter (30).

As the space required to be provided above the coin passage to install the transporting belt 72 can be reduced, it is possible to make the machine body 11 more compact, or increase the coin accommodating capacity of the accommodating and ejecting units 27 by the amount equivalent to the volume of the reduction of the space.
