Snap-on bead assemblies for providing blocking walls for the attachment of connectors, and more particularly quick connectors, are disclosed as comprising an open-ended ring member having an outer surface, an inner surface and two extending flanges. The ring members are formed of a resilient material, such as high gauge steel, which allows the ring members to be expanded and positioned over a tubular conduit. In a first embodiment, the flanges (16a) and (16b) project downwardly and embed within depressions (34) formed upon outer surface (32) of the conduit (30) to lock the ring member (10) onto the conduit. In the second enbodiment, the flanges (116a) and (116b) project upwardly and the inner surface (114) of the ring member (116) is positioned within a depression (134) formed on the surface (132) of the conduit (130) which locks the ring member (110) onto the conduit (130).

Est décrit un système qui s'adapte et se referme sur un tuyau standard (12) et une extrêmité de manchon de serrage (14) qui s'adaptent mieux au déport axial entre l'axe du système et celui du manchon (14) que ce qu'on connaît habituellement dans le domaine de la la fabrication des tuyauteries servant à joindre deux dispositifs. On peut également ajouter un système de desserrage qui libére la partie mâle du système. Lorsqu'on utilise deux systèmes dans un élément du type manchon (20) (Fig. 1) et des éléments de desserage (18) (Fig. 1) le tuyau (12) peut être relié au manchon (14) comme présenté dans le schéma. Le manchon (20) peut être glissé (et remonté complétement sur le tuyau (12), permettant ainsi la mise en place du tuyau (12) par le simple positionnement du tuyau (12) dans sa position de fonctionnement en faisant simplement glisser le manchon (20) ou le manchon (14). Pour l'enlever, il faut utiliser l'élément de desserrage (18) et remonter le manchon (20) sur le tuyau (12). Le système remplace aisément les installations existantes de tuyau et de serrage de tuyau, il est cependant réparable sur place au moyen d'un tuyau et d'éléments de serrage de tuyau.

The sealing means (26) externally surrounds the nominal diametral portion (48) and prevents fluid from passing between an exterior surface (40) of the male conduit (22) and an adjacent inside surface (74) of the female member (24). The connection may be completed in the depth and diameter that is allotted to a "thread-in" or "flare" connection.
