A moisture sensor (60) is mounted in the recessed portion (17c) to detect water infiltrating into a housing (17). The moisture sensor (60) has a transmission circuit that operates using a water battery as a power supply source. The water battery generates power when water flows into the water battery.

A reverse connection storage circuit (14d) is attached in parallel with the inverter (14c), and detects and stores the occurrence of the reverse connection when the reverse connection of the ECU (14) and a battery (15) has occurred, and notifies the microcomputer (14a) of the occurrence of the reverse connection at the next startup of the ECU (14). The microcomputer (14a) transmits a signal indicating non-permission to the driver (14b) in accordance with the notification. The driver (14b) restricts the power assist upon receiving the signal.

    摘要: In one aspect, a wake-up circuit is provided for triggering a determination of an absolute rotational position of a rotatable shaft of a motor in an electric power steering system of a vehicle. The wake-up circuit includes a plurality of inputs coupled to separate phases of the motor. A voltage boosting circuit is operable to increase a back electromotive force (EMF) voltage induced on one or more of the inputs by rotation of the rotatable shaft of the motor and produce at least one voltage-boosted back EMF voltage. A comparator circuit is operable to compare the at least one voltage-boosted back EMF voltage to a reference voltage and trigger a monitoring system to perform the determination of the absolute rotational position of the rotatable shaft of the motor in the electric power steering system based on a result of the compare during an ignition off state of the vehicle.
