A partition frame (23) is arranged on the front side of a section (17) for accumulating and ejecting coins on a coin denomination basis, and a storage hopper section (13) and a coin identifying/sorting passage (15) are provided on the front face of the partition frame (23). The partition frame (23) can be switched between a position at which the section (17) is partitioned from the outside of the machine body (11) and an open position at which the section (17) is exposed to the outside of the machine body (11). A locking means (24) for locking the partition frame (23) at the partitioning position is provided. Coins located in the storage hopper section (13) region or the coin identifying/sorting passage (15) region can be freely operated, and coins in the accumulating/ejecting section (17) can be operated by unlocking the locking means (24) and opening the partition frame (23). Consequently, jamming of coins can be eliminated in the storage hopper section (13) region and the coin identifying/sorting passage (15) region.
