The binding system is operable to bind a spine end of a collection of physical media sheets to the cover. The binding system has a datum stop (30) protruding away from the inwardly facing side of the cover, and the datum stop has a datum stop surface against which a head end or a tail end of the collection is registerable prior to binding the collection to the cover. The method comprises positioning and registering the physical media sheet collection against the datum stop surface, and then binding the spine end of the collection of physical media sheets to the cover through the binding system.

摘要： Die Erfindung betrifft eine Freihandschreibvorrichtung (10, 80, 90,120) zur Einlage, Aufbewahrung, Transport und Verwendung eines Ring- oder Spiralblocks (12). Die Freihandschreibvorrichtung (10, 80, 90,120) umfasst einen Einbanddeckel (14), einen Einbandrücken (16) und zumindest zwei an zueinander zugewandten Ecken einer Innenfläche (36) des Einbanddeckels (14) und einer Innenfläche (38) des Einbandrückens (16) angeordneten Gelenkeinrichtungen (30), die den Einbanddeckel (14) und den Einbandrücken (16) auf- und zufaltbar miteinander verbinden.
Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass an jeder Gelenkeinrichtung (30) eine Aufnahme für eine Aufnahmestange (20, 22) vorgesehen ist, und der Block (12) mittels der oder den Aufnahmestangen (20, 22), die längsaxial in die Ringe bzw. in die Spirale (18) des Blocks (12) einschiebbar sind, zwischen den Gelenkeinrichtungen (30) verliersicher befestigt ist.
In einem Nebenaspekt betrifft die Erfindung eine Aufstellvorrichtung (70) für die vorgenannte Freihandschreibvorrichtung (10, 80, 90, 120).
